15 minutes from the Piazzetta on the south side of the island of Capri lies the bay of Marina Piccola. Marina Piccola can be reached by bus, taxi or by foot along Via Mulo.Once in the small square, where the main bus stop and taxi rank are situated, visitors need only descend a few steps to admire the tiny Church of St Andrea, built in 1900.Continuing the descent one arrives at the legendary “Scoglio delle Sirene” which divides the inlet into two distinct bays: to the left Marina di Pennauro and to the right Marina di Mulo.The name sirene or “siren” was used for the first time at the start of the last century when a group of scholars wanted to identify the rock as Homer’s “flowered meadow on the sea”, hypothesising that the primitive man of Capri would have made use of the seductive tones of his females to induce sailors to land here.The bay is now part of an extremely fashionable area, with a number of bathing establishments; during the summer boats sail back and forth carrying passengers between the small wharf of the Scoglio delle Sirene and the Faraglioni rocks.
15 minutos do Piazzetta no lado sul da ilha de Capri fica na baía de Marina Piccola. Marina Piccola pode ser atingido por ônibus, táxi ou a pé pela Via Mulo. Já na pequena praça, onde o principal ponto de ônibus e táxis estão situados, o visitante só precisa de descer a poucos passos para admirar a pequena Igreja de S. Andrea, construído em 1900. Continuando a uma descida chega ao lendário "Scoglio delle Sirene", que divide a entrada em dois distintos baías: a Marina di Pennauro esquerda e à direita Marina di Mulo. O nome Sirene ou "sereia" foi utilizada pela primeira vez no início do século passado, quando um grupo de estudiosos quiseram identificar o rock como Homer's "prado florido sobre o mar", hypothesising que o homem primitivo de Capri teria tornado utilização dos tons de sua sedutora para induzir fêmeas marinheiros à terra aqui. A baía é agora parte de uma área muito elegante, com um número de estabelecimentos balneares, durante o Verão barcos navegam para frente e para trás que transportam passageiros entre o pequeno cais do Scoglio delle Sirene e as Faraglioni rochas.

The Grotta Verde opens 400 meters north-west of Punta Ventroso. It takes its name from the color which the sea assumes caused by the light entering from the other side. In fact, this cave has two openings. The side facing the west has an entrance roughly 25 meters above sea level, the passage is only 2 meters high, allowing the transit of only very small boats. The sea bed is 4 meters deep, sandy, and covered with a scattering of rock forms. To the west and south-west there are underwater passageways which link the Grotta Verde to the open sea.
A Gruta Verde abre 400 metros a noroeste de Punta Ventroso. Leva o nome da cor que o mar assume causado pela luz entrem a partir do outro lado. De facto, esta gruta tem duas aberturas. A virada para o oeste tem uma entrada cerca de 25 metros acima do nível do mar, a passagem é de apenas 2 metros de altura, permitindo o trânsito de pequenas embarcações. O mar é de 4 metros de profundidade, arenosa, e coberto com uma dispersão de rock formas. Para o oeste e sul-oeste há subaquática corredores que ligam as Grotta Verde para o mar aberto.
